Questions we get asked a lot
Do I have to buy new boots?
No, and that's the beauty of it. Clew bindings work with all regular snowboard boots. Other systems like Burton Step On force you to buy their special (and expensive) boots. With Clew you just use your own boots.
Am I really secure? Can it accidentally come loose?
You're just as secure as with regular bindings. The click system has three locking levels that ensure your foot is held firmly. Thousands of snowboarders use Clew daily, from beginners to pros, and the system has been thoroughly tested in the Alps.
Does it work in snow and cold?
Yes, Clew was specifically designed for alpine conditions. The system works down to -30°C, in powder, on ice, and even when there's snow in your binding. It's really built for the mountain, not just for nice days.
Will it fit my snowboard?
Very likely yes. Clew bindings fit any snowboard with standard mounting holes (4x4 pattern) or a channel system. That's virtually all snowboards from the last 15 years.
How is Clew different from Burton Step On?
The most important difference: Clew works with your current boots, Burton Step On doesn't. Additionally, Clew is made in Germany with a focus on reliability in harsh conditions and has become lighter in the latest version.
Is it for beginners or advanced riders?
Really for everyone. Beginners like it because stepping in is easier - you don't have to wrestle with straps while still finding your balance. Advanced riders appreciate getting back on their board faster and having more time to ride.
Ready for your last pair of bindings?
Once you've tried Clew, you'll never go back to traditional straps. Check our stock and experience why for yourself.
