The hybrid camber with early-rise powder splitboard inspired by the original Kemper SR 140
David Kemper was fourteen years old in the winter of 1984/85 when he began building snowboards by hand in the basement of his home.
The first snowboard David built was the Kemper Freestyle and in the winter of 1986/87 he made the SR 140 with a P-Tex base and an ABS top layer, but without metal edges.
Kemper made about 90 snowboards by hand in those first 3 years.
