Snowboarder with Nidecker Supermatic step-in binding

Nidecker Supermatic — Swiss made step-in

OG, LT and Carbon — sizes S/M/L/XL, up to -40%

Which Supermatic suits you?

Supermatic OG

The original Supermatic. Medium flex, all-mountain character, perfect balance between response and comfort. The best-selling variant — suitable from intermediate to expert.

Supermatic LT

Lightweight variant with softer flex. More playful for park, jib and piste. Slightly more forgiving than the OG — popular with freestyle riders and lighter snowboarders.

Supermatic Carbon

Top version with carbon highback. Stiffer, lighter (about 100g less per foot) and more direct in response. For aggressive riders who want maximum precision.

Sizes S / M / L / XL

S = boot EU 36-39, M = 40-42, L = 42-44, XL = 45-48. The Supermatic fits relatively tight; for wide boots we usually recommend one size up. Send us your boot size and we check the Nidecker fitting table for you.

What makes the Supermatic different from other step-ins?

Step-in bindings have been around since Burton Step On — but until 2023 there was always a compromise: either fixed straps without adjustment, or special step-in boots required. The Supermatic solves both.

Folding highback with auto-lock

The highback flips 180° down so you can step freely into the straps. Pushing it up locks the binding automatically — no clicking into loose plates, no spare parts to lose.

Fully adjustable straps

Unlike other step-in systems, you keep full strap adjustability. Set once at home for your boots, then it stays right. Two straps (toe + ankle) for exactly the same fit as a regular binding.

Compatible with any boot

No step-in specific boots required as with Burton Step On or K2 Clicker. Your current snowboard boots work directly with the Supermatic — Burton, Salomon, Nitro, Adidas, etc.

Universal disc (4×4, 2×4, Burton Channel)

Included discs support all common board patterns including Burton ICS Channel. Fits virtually any snowboard on the market.

Asymmetric heelcup

Asymmetric heel cup supports the boot from the inside. More direct heelside response without needing to tighten the straps further.

Swiss-engineered, Tunisia-made

Designed in the Nidecker R&D lab in Rolle (CH), produced in Nidecker's own factory in Tunisia. No external contract manufacturer — in-house quality control.

Frequently asked questions about the Nidecker Supermatic

How does the Supermatic work step-by-step?

1) Flip the highback down — it stays flat. 2) Step with your boot into the pre-adjusted straps. 3) Push the highback up with hand or leg — the binding locks automatically. 4) To exit: pull the release lever to the left of the highback, the highback drops, you step out. Total ~5 seconds instead of 30+ seconds with a regular strap binding.

What size Supermatic do I need?

Nidecker has its own table per boot size: S = EU 36-39, M = 40-42, L = 42-44, XL = 45-48. Important: the Supermatic fits relatively tight. For wide boots (e.g. Burton Photon Wide, K2 Maysis) we usually recommend one size up. Unsure? WhatsApp us your boot brand + size — we'll check the Nidecker fitting table for you.

Will the Supermatic fit my snowboard?

The Supermatic is compatible with the three most common patterns: 4×4 (Nitro, Capita, Bataleon, Jones), 2×4 (older boards) and Burton Channel/ICS. The included discs cover all these inserts. In doubt about a specific board: send us the model name, we will check.

What is the difference between Supermatic OG, LT and Carbon?

OG = the original Supermatic, medium flex, all-mountain — the right choice for 80% of riders. LT = Light version, ~70g lighter per foot, softer flex — popular for freestyle and park. Carbon = top-end with carbon highback, ~100g lighter than OG and notably stiffer — for aggressive carvers and boardercross. All same step-in tech.

Can I use my current snowboard boots?

Yes. Unlike Burton Step On or K2 Clicker you do NOT need special step-in boots. Any common snowboard boot works with the Supermatic — Burton, Salomon, Nitro, Adidas, Ride, Vans, ThirtyTwo, etc. The binding holds via the straps, not via a boot connection.

What if the mechanism freezes or gets dirty?

The auto-lock mechanism is sealed and low maintenance. In heavy snow, ice can occasionally build up in the highback hinge — knock it off with hand or pole. Nidecker gives a 2-year warranty on the mechanism. Spare parts (straps, ratchets) available individually through us.

Are your Supermatics new or second-hand?

100% new, unused and in original Nidecker packaging. These are previous season models or selected lots — technically identical to the current collection. Only color/graphics may slightly differ from the latest season. Full manufacturer warranty applies.
